Same experience with ai enabled IDEs. They are best for creating UI prototype quickly or some quick PoC and out of all IDEs that I tried windsurf worked best.
Yes, I find myself in regular conversations with Cursor. It's a mixed bag and sometimes a frustrating experience. But I have to remind myself to keep it simple and start small. To keep the requirements very specific and not to go too wide.
IDE are like freshers from top universities and we like all the glitz and aura they carry but at the end of day work needs to be done by us only. Most probably next wave of developers will be able to fully utilise them. 🙂
